Ford recalls 3,968 cars in Russia due to problems with clutch
MOSCOW, Aug 14 (PRIME) -- Ford is recalling 3,968 Focus, C-Max, Mondeo, and Kuga cars sold in Russia from 2011 through 2016 due to possible problems with the clutch system, the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology said in a statement on Tuesday.
All cars are equipped with 6-speed transmission, and cracks may emerge at the pressure disc of the clutch system, decreasing the car’s speed and worsening performance. In very rare cases, fragments of clutch and transmission may get off and strike other components under the hood, causing smoke and flame, the statement read.
